How to Film in Nigeria and still be human by Niyi Akinmolayan

Hello everyone! So before we announce the winner of the competition tomorrow, Kenny decided to do a video on the blog highlighting some of the mistakes most of the writers made and giving insights on how to make their craft better. He also took his time to organize resource materials for everyone to download. If we don’t get screenwriting right, nothing else will be right…if you like build film city!

Watch the video and scroll down for the resource materials. They are all Zip files. Don’t ask me how to open a zip file o…mind yasef! And don’t forget to share!

  1. e-books

2. English grammar e-books

3. Hollywood movie scripts

4. Kenny’s scripts

5. movie loglines

6. movie treatments, synopses & beat sheets

thanks for this. i hope some of my clients will go through this and forgive me for "ruining the story" as i later heard one said. i am a movie director with five films to back it up and one of the issues i constantly have with producers and scriptwriters is that the producer who is the scriptwriter's friend want to please the friend that gave him the script for free while the writer believes there is no junk in his write up. you need to see the looks on their faces when i tell them i am scrapping a scene! so what i do is i tell them we will pen it down and i will tell the PM to out it on the schedule but as the last scenes of the shoot. i hardly shoot them! pls note i am also a scriptwriter and if there is any of those scripts that you think has hope but you don't have the time to bring it to life. i am willing to help you with it. i do that a lot for a token but will do it for free as my own contribution if you will consider letting me.
